I grew up on a local farm and spent most of my time on a four-wheeler with my Labrador riding behind me. After high school, I attended Murray State to earn dual certification in special education and early elementary. That's where I met my husband and we just celebrated 28 years of marriage. He is also a sped teacher. Our son is a teenager and he and our puppy-dog are our world. After watching him grow and develop, I felt drawn to lower elementary students. I have taught every grade level from K - 12 as a sped resource teacher, but my heart is now in lower elementary. I love this journey as a Pisgah Pirate! Together, we can absolutely do hard things!
