Can I eat lunch with my student?
Yes, parents are allowed to eat lunch with their student . We have designated tables outside the cafeteria under the awning for parents to have lunch with their student. This will still apply even if it is raining or cold/hot temperatures outside. 

Registration information
Please visit https://www.cmcss.net/registration/ to begin the registration process online. Then bring the required documents in between 9:00am-2:00pm. The birth certificate, the TN shot record, and 2 current proofs of residency in parent/legal guardian's name, are required for new registrations. Any questions please call. Thank you!  

Do I have to have an official state or government issued ID every time I enter the school?
Yes! It is CMCSS policy that EVERY adult entering the building MUST have their ID on them and show it to building staff in order to enter the building, dismiss a student, go on a field trip, come for lunch, come for an awards ceremony, etc. The ID will be scanned into the RAPTOR visitor login system. The system will scan the barcode located on the back of the ID.

Does my child have to stay home the next day if sent home by the nurse for a fever of 100.0 F?
Yes! Your student must be fever free without the use of any medications for example 24 hours without Tylenol or Motrin.

When running a 2 hour delay schedule what time do I bring my kids to school?
When the school is on a 2 hour delay the doors will open 2 hours later than normal. We normally open at 7:50 , on a 2 hour delay the door will open at 9:50am. If your child's bus normally comes at 7:23 am then it will come at 9:23am on a two hour delay schedule. If we are on a 1 hour delay then we would open at 8:50 and if your student's bus comes normally at 7:23 am then it would come at 8:23am.

What time does dismissal start on EARLY RELEASE DAYS (2 hours and 15 min early)
Pirate Pick up starts at 12:45 followed by buses. Your child gets off the bus 2hrs. and 15 min. earlier than their regularly scheduled route time. For example if they get off the bus at 3:22pm, then on a Early Release Day your child's bus will arrive at 1:22pm.

What time does dismissal start on half days?
Dismissal starts with our Pirate pick up at 11:30 am.

Can I drop my student off before the first bell (7:50am) in front of the school?
No this is not allowed. Our priority is student safety no child can be left in front of the school before the first bell rings and the doors open at 7:50 AM.

Can my child be sent into the school by themselves after 8:10am?
No after 8:10am your child is considered tardy and you are required to walk them in to sign them in.

Does a parent have to go through the CMCSS volunteer training in order to go on a field trip or meet their child at the field trip location?
Yes they do! All parents or adults chaperoning or just meeting classes at the field trip MUST go through volunteer training. Please contact Heather Sierawski at [email protected] for more information.
