I earned my BS in Elementary Education from Indiana University in 2006 and have been teaching fifth grade ever since. I am passionate about teaching both math and science, so I am thrilled to be using STEM challenges to integrate science, technology, engineering and math topics. I am excited to be the fifth grade STEM teacher at Pisgah Elementary and look forward to another amazing year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

The fifth grade team will be using a class notification service to keep parents and students updated with classroom news and reminders about homework, tests/quizzes, and important dates. All fifth grade teachers will use the same account to send messages, which means you will not need to subscribe to multiple Remind accounts.

This service is an opt-in service which means that students and parents have to enter a confirmation code to state that they want to be contacted by the teacher through this service. Remind keeps phone numbers hidden so that the teacher and students/parents never see each other's numbers. If you would like to receive updates from us by text message, please text (404) 994-8222 with the message “@pisgah”. If you would like to receive updates from us through email, please send an email to [email protected]. This will allow you to join the class notification service.

To unsubscribe from text message notifications for a class, simply reply with the word “stop”. To unsubscribe from email notifications, reply to your teacher's email with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject field. Newsletters, emails, and phone calls will also be used to communicate important information throughout the school year.
